My family and I

     I want to tell you about my family. We are a family of three (four, five …). My name is … . I am … years old. We live in Russia, in Saint Petersburg. It is an old and beautiful city.
     I have got a mother, a father, (a sister, a brother, a grandmother, a grandfather, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin …). My grandmother [имя] is my mother’s mother. My grandfather [имя] is my mother’s father. I have got and uncle. He is my father’s brother. My uncle’s daughter is my cousin.
     My mother is a… . She works in a … . My father is a … . He works in a … . My mother likes to cook tasty meals and to read books. My father likes to work on the computer (to watch TV, to ski, to swim, to ride a bike, to travel, to visit new places …). On Sundays we often [go to parks, museums, theatres or to the zoo. Last Sunday we went to our dacha. My mother worked in the garden, and helped her to plant flowers].
     I am a pupil. I go to school 74, to the third A form. I have got many friends at school and we often play together. I like to go for a walk, to read books and to play football … . In Summer I will ride a bike, swim in the lake and lie in the sun.

My working Day

My working Day

I usually get up at 7 o’clock in the morning. I go to the bathroom, wash my hands and face, and clean my teeth. Then I have breakfast. My mum cooks very tasty breakfast for me. After that I put on my school uniform and go to school.
The lessons start at 8.45. I have 5 or 6 lessons every day. At 11.05 we go to the school café and eat lunch. School day finishes at 2.10.
After school I play with my friends at the playground. I come home at 3 o’clock. Then I have dinner and do my homework. On Tuesday and Thursday I go to the sports school (music school, art school, drama school …). We run, jump and play football there. (I play the piano. I draw pictures.).
In the evening I read books, watch TV or play computer games. At 10 o’clock I take a shower and go to bed.
On Saturday and Sunday we don’t go to school and I don’t get up at 7 o’clock. Last Sunday I got up at 9 o’clock. Then I had breakfast and watched TV. At 11 o’clock my mother and I went for a walk in the park. We had a good time. It was fun!.

Food in my life

Food in my life

     People cannot live without food. Where does our food come from? Meat comes from animals. People eat domestic birds, too. Eggs come from birds. From milk people make bread and cheese. From plants we get fruit and vegetables.
      Different food comes from different countries. Oranges and bananas come from Africa and America. A lot of vegetables and fruit grow in Russia. Some people grow plants in their gardens. For example, my granny grows … (carrots, potatoes, red tomatoes, green cucumbers, red strawberries, green, yellow and red apples …) at our dacha. She likes gardening.
     Usually we buy food in the shop. Sometimes I help my mother with shopping. We buy … . Yesterday we bought …. .
     I eat four times a day: breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. Yesterday I ate …….. for breakfast. For dinner I ate …… . My mother cooks very nice meals. I always remember to eat the right food.

I like animals

I like animals

     I like animals very much. There are wild animals and domestic animals. We can see wild animals in the zoo.
     Last week my mother and I went to the zoo. We saw a lot of animals there: tigers and lions, elephants and monkeys, giraffes and crocodiles, wolves and foxes, white bears and brown bears, horses and hares.
     The elephant is the biggest four-legged animal. It has got a very long nose – a trunk, and two long white teeth – tusks. The giraffe has got the longest neck. The hare’s tail is shorter than the tiger’s tail. We watched monkeys. They were very funny. They jumped, ran and made funny faces. I think that monkeys are the most interesting animals.
     A lot of people have got pets. I have got a cat. Her name is Pussy. She is two years old. She is black and white. Pussy is very clever. She answers her name. I teach her to jump high. Sometimes I take Pussy for a walk. I give Pussy cat food to eat and milk to drink. She also likes cheese and cookies. My mother and I look after her. I love Pussy very much.
